ECET is one of the most popular engineering entrance exam first proposed by Ministry of Human Resource Development in Feb 2010. Common Engineering entrance exam is nothing but a common process of giving admissions to professional Institutions based on the ECET Rank. Engg common entrance test is conducted every year by State Council of Higher Education. It is a common entrance test for Diploma Holders, B.Sc (Mathematics) degree holders to study B.E/ B. Tech in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. All the candidates who qualify in the Engg common entrance exam are given regular direct admissions to enter into the 2nd year of B.E/ B. Tech and B. Pharmacy courses in their respective branches. Therefore, all the students who get admissions through ECET exam are known as lateral entries.
ECET 2018 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
Engineering common entrance exam is common for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states till 2014. As a result of, Andhra Pradesh State division the common entrance test is divided into APECET and TSECET. Full form of AP ECET is Andhra Pradesh state Engg common entrance test. In the same way, TS ECET is Telangana state Engineering common entrance test. Therefore due to this AP state division both state governments are conducting separate common entrance tests. Hence students of both the states can apply for AP ECET and TS ECET. But the more preference will be given to the candidates belonging to the respective state. AP ECET 2018 conducted every year by Jawaharlal Technological University Anantapur on behalf of Andhra Pradesh state council of higher education (APCHE). ECET 2018 Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma in Engineering.
- B.Sc Mathematics, and
- Diploma in Pharmacy.
Note: All the candidates who completed a diploma or the students who are in 3rd year of a diploma are eligible to apply for ECET 2018. And applicants must pass diploma with a minimum 50% marks (for general) and 40% marks (for SC/ST).

ECET Results 2018
Finally, upon successful completion of Engineering Common Entrance Test 2018, the respective boards will release the TS/ APECET Results 2018. The CET Result dates are also fixed by the APSCHE & TSCHE at the time of Notification release only.
